Open Stripper!Loki post (human AU)

[The club is dark and the pulsing strobe lights are sure to overwhelm any who come in from the dark of the outside. There is a main stage where a lithe man twists and turns around a metallic pole, moving with the beat of the music. Surrounding the stage are patrons, some watching silently in rapt attention, other being more vocal in their appreciation of the dancer.

Should you approach the stage you will come up just as Loki sinks down to accept tips tucked into his strangely still-present thong.

Should you wait, Loki comes out into the club about 20 minutes after a platform takes him below the stage. He starts smoozing the crowd.

"I imagine you don't have much time for recreation like television or art." Loki is only aware of the reappearance of Captain America in passing, but not enough to even remotely recognize that Steve was of a similar build and stature.

"If you ever need a model for practice, let me know. If you're staying in town that is." Maybe a subtle hint and a second date? Maybe just an offer? Loki's not sure himself.

"More than you'd think but not as much as I'd like sometimes," Steve smiles as he takes a drink. "You'd think the world could keep itself out of trouble every now and then to give us a break."

He isn't really complaining. This is what he'd signed up to do and now that he has the abilities, well, he's going to use them.

"Yeah, I have an apartment in Brooklyn," he laughs. "Part of it is set up as an art studio. I... wouldn't mind a model."

Especially not one that looks like Loki. He's not sure if he'd have the best concentration if the man takes his clothes off but he could model with them on too. "I could pay you for it actually. Or buy you dinner."

Less subtle.

"I make enough money at the club, but I wouldn't say no to dinner." This is going great by Loki's standards. Sure, not all the patrons of the club were sleazy, but he'd never seen someone like Steve come in.

That's because people like Steve only go to those kinds of clubs if they're pushed, pulled or dragged into them by 'well-meaning' friends or coworkers.

"Dinner then," Steve smiles in agreement. It's as good as a date though he doesn't quite say it out loud. "I should have some time soon, probably this week."

Provided no evil robots or aliens decide Earth needs to be theirs.

"My days are mostly free, so the schedule is up to you. I normally go to work around 9 in the evening."

Loki's phone goes off in his pocket. He grimaces as he reads the text message.

"I'm sorry to cut this short, but something has come up." Reaching into his bag he takes out a pen.

"Give me your arm," said as he takes Steve's arm to write his number on.

"Alright, sounds good," Steve agrees, already trying to decide how to rework his schedule to fit Loki in it and sooner rather than later. He's excited by the prospect of having a model to draw.

One eyebrow quirks as the man extends his hand for his arm and he lets him have, laughing slightly as he writes the number on it.

"No problem," he tells him. It's late for him anyway. "I hope everything sorts itself out. I'll give you a call to set something up."

"I look forward too it." With a wink Loki leaves the cafe, taking out his phone and hitting redial.

The other end picks up just as Loki rounds a corner into a dark alley.

"This had better be good, Doom."

Is Doom interupting the Prince's time pretending to be a painted whore?

"I am simply enjoying everything this realm has to offer." He glaces back in the direction of the cafe and smiles. "Now, have you found a way to return my magic to me or not?"

Steve smiled at the wink and finished his food, thoughtful about the meeting. He didn’t know where this was going to go but he thought it might be good to have some kind of life outside the team. The only problem with it was endangering whoever he was dating and the hang-ups that came with it. He never wanted anyone to get hurt because of him.

He slipped out of his seat and headed for the Tower. Steve didn’t wonder about what business had come up that drawn Loki away from him—why would he? He still managed to beat the rest of them back so he didn’t have to answer demands to know exactly where he was afterward.

As promised, he called Loki to set up a time for the man to model for him and a few days later met him at the apartment he turned into an art studio. He planned, eventually, to move out of the Tower and into the floor below it but it needed renovated and he was content with the second floor being a studio. He could sleep here if he wanted, the upstairs still had a bed and living area, but there was no reason to do that.

Loki rang the buzzer for the apartment outside the building and waited to be let in. Doom had been woefully unhelpful the other night and he was rather perturbed the metallic idiot had drawn him away from what could have possibly been a wonderful one night stand.

So he was very excited about today. He wasn't sure how Steven wanted him to dress (or if he wanted him clothed at all) so he came in simple sweat pants and a button up shirt. Over his shoulder was a bag with other clothes carefully folded in it just in case.

Honestly, Steve isn't sure what kind of sketches he wants to yet either. Obviously the man is comfortable with his clothes off or nearly off, considering his profession. He's considering that maybe he'd like to make some money with his clothes on for once. Maybe he'll just leave it up to him and whatever he wants to do, Steve will be more than happy to sketch. Seems pretty reasonable.

He smiles when he pulls open the door, "Hey, thanks for coming."

Loki smiles back. "No problem. Having an excuse to see you again is worth it."

He steps into the building. "So what floor do you live on?"

He ducks his head a little at the comment and gives Loki an amused look, "Well, I'm glad you think so. I certainly appreciate the chance to see you again."

Steve turns and gestures toward the elevator, "Top two floors, though right now I'm not living here. Some of my furniture is here but it's mostly functioning as an art studio right now. I'm in the middle of renovations on the first floor so we're going all the way up."

"A whole floor? My, that is fancy." Loki enters the elevator, making sure the door stays open for Steve.

"So what were you thinking? I brought a few outfit changes, and of course I am always alright in any state of undress."

"The apartment will be two by the time it's finished," he says with a nod as he steps into the elevator. "I... inherited some money. I put some of it toward making a place mine, plus I wanted a studio and a work-room without disturbing the other residents."

When it dings open, it's a nice place though sparsely furnished. A bed, a couch, and the majority of his art supplies, which includes a lounge and a few stools. There's plenty of light too which is really nice and it's warm up here.

He shrugs, "I figured I'd leave it up to you. We can always rotate to something else either today or next time, if you're interested in another session. I'm not too picky."

"I cannot speak for the future, but as for right now I am very interested in more sessions." The elevator opens up to the top floor and Loki steps out.

"You can look through what I brought and decide. If you want to work more with fabrics or figures, that is your choice as the artist."

"Great," Steve smiles a bit widely, excited to have such an excellent subject and hey, he had gone on a date with him. So far, he likes him very much. This whole thing should be interesting.

He shows him into the studio and gestures toward a table for him to sit his things. "That sounds like a good idea." Steve considers for a moment. "I think starting with figures would be good but lets just do the upper half. You can leave your pants on."

The dufflebag is set on the table as Loki surveys the room.

"I must say this is the first time a handsome man has told me to leave my pants on," Loki teases as he strips off his coat and shirt. He's not covered in body glitter like he had been at the club, but his skin is so pale is almost shines in the natural light.

"Where do you want me."

He laughs a little and ducks his head, shaking it slightly. He adds, "For now, though I try to wait a few dates." He won't mention that he kind of failed to get passed the first date most of the time. Those days are behind him.

Steve does give him an appreciative look over and then he gestures in front of the window, "How about over there on the lounge? Good light and it's comfortable."

"So you are one to wine and dine your lovers, are you?" Loki takes his place on the lounge. "Well, you wont hear me complaining. Is this position okay?"

It had been a while since he had been able to casually flirt like this. It was very enjoyable; comfortable even. He had a feeling Steven didn't do this often (not that the man was bad at it, by any means) and that made it all the more fun.

"Yeah, I am," he agrees with a nod and a smile. He likes a little romance. He can't help it. He's from an era where that sort of thing is expected. He's not spreading that information though he's fine with being considered romantic or old-fashioned.

He doesn't do this often. There's something he really likes about Loki. The man entertains him and he's really good looking to boot.

Steve collects the things he needs and a chair, then sits down in front of him. "You don't have to worry about holding perfectly still or anything. I can manage."

Loki settles into a comfortable position "When ever you are ready. I'm rather comfortable like this."

"So, how long have you been in town?"

"Alright, good," he smiles as he starts his sketch, eyes flicking between Loki and the sketchbook he's working in. He is taking time but it's nice to take the time to draw again.

"A few months," he responds easily because technically it's true. "I haven't been stationed here long."

"And where were you before?" Humans didn't normally grab his attention, but when one did it hit him hard. Loki doesn't know what, but something is interesting about this one.

"Here and there," Steve responds vaguely. He can't exactly blurt out that he's Captain America. He prefers Loki to just know Steve. He gives the man a sheepish look over his sketchbook, "It's classified, sorry."

"Oh, so mysterious." Loki gives him a wink. Honestly the more he won't tell him the more curious he gets. He can't push too hard though, especially if the man works for SHIELD.

"I understand. You must have been some pretty amazing places though."
